UPDATE: Earlier today in the UK Parliament, the Home Secretary, Priti Patel presented a new Policy Statement titled NEW PLAN for Immigration. In the statement under Chapter 3, titled: "Ending Anomalies and Delivering Fairness in British Nationality Law."
Our campaign fights for equal British nationality recognition for our illegitimate children of descent born to British overseas territories fathers (before 1 July 2006) & mothers (Before 1 January 1983.) This policy statement is a major step in getting the UK government to acknowledge that we exist and have a right to claim our parent's British & British overseas territories citizenship by descent. They have now signaled their intention to remove this hurtful discrimination. We ask all people of the British overseas territories, the diaspora, and all stakeholders and supporters to send their feedback using the link provided below.
People must send a clear message that they support amendments to the law and our "Just as British" overseas territories children of descent Deserve and MUST be treated equally under British nationality law.
