Nationality and Borders Bill was given Royal Assent it is now an Act.

Updated: Apr 29, 2022

Here are two video clips, one for the House of Lords and the other for the House of Commons proceedings today, when bills from the 2021 to 2022 session were given Royal assent by the Queen and made law. The Nationality and Borders Bill is now included. It is now part of British Law. The British Nationality Act 1981 will be amended accordingly. Now, we must wait for commencement dates for each provision, and this may vary. It is estimated this will be at least two months. It allows the Home Office to complete their process, update their documentation and guidance and open up a date for applications to be made. We will notify you as soon as we become aware of when applications can be submitted and copy the Guidance notes and application link. We encourage you to seek professional legal advice. We cannot offer legal advice.
