We welcome the detailed breakdown of the key nationality part of the Nationality and Borders Bill conducted by Solange Valdez-Symonds of the Project For Registration of Children for British Citizenship “PRCBC” and Steve Valdez-Symonds of Amnesty International (UK). It is so reassuring to know that Solange and Steve who deeply care about fairness, access to British Nationality for children, take time out to breakdown and explain the complexities of nationality law. We trust an
A huge "Thank you" to Barrister and ILPA Patron @AdrianBerryC, and @Stuart_McDonald UK MP SNP (Stuart C. McDonald) for raising during the scrutiny session the long overdue “good nationality clauses.” It will, in the Nationality and Borders Bill (currently in Parliament) correct years of historical injustices affecting Black Caribbean CUKC/BOTC children of descent. It also has capacity to fix other significant anomalies. For more information about this go to: www.botccampaign.

Disappointingly, the Committee chose only to focus on the controversial and pressing "Borders" aspects of this Nationality and Borders Bill. They ignored the first part of the bill for "Nationality." We strongly feel this is unfair and dismissive of our important issues. They could, if they chose, highlight the children and grandchildren of Chagossian descent being included in this bill. But, no, they ignored this urgent part too. How can you produce a fair & balanced report

Link to bill's parliamentary progress: https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3023 As we move forward into the next session of the UK Parliament, we remain steadfast in standing up for the citizenship rights of CUKC/BDTC/BOTC children of descent. This bill, as flawed as it is in other areas of asylum, refugees, and illegal border crossings, will correct a historical anomaly that has caused too many of us (children & parents) to be shut out and ignored. It is clear there is further
